Alternative Reality RMX

Here's a post about a song that I like. I remember I was into THE COOL FEELING EP by the Outrunners when that came out 10 blog years ago. It's good to hear more from them. A commenter on Hyperbole said this remix of Alternative Reality sounds kind of like LIFELIKE. I think some elements are there, but I also appreciate the "She's a Maniac" percussion and 'throwback' female vocal delivery.

DVAS: PSSN CMMNCTN MX

Here's a DJ MIX since I haven't posted one in a long time and according to my market research, readers want 300% more 'faggy electro music.'

DVAS's "Passion Communication Mix" achieves the following:
-introduces listeners to [exclusive] DVAS tracks
-has a track list that will facilitate alt bro pre-partying
-utilizes 'tracks that are old, but sound like new stuff, because new stuff sounds like old stuff now.'
-strengthens the Valerie brand.

I wonder if I should judge this mix solely on the technology they used to make it?

M0RE ANORAAK

Anoraak was one of my favourites of 2K7, and some of his new stuff/new edits of older demos just became BLOG AVAILABLE earlier this week. ANORAAK is of course part of Valerie, which is a collective that probably deserves to take over the post-banger world. [Visit: the Valerie Blog]

I'd say ANORAAK's synthesizer choices are always as [CLOSE TO PERFECT] as it gets. His song structures/arrangements are also pretty flawless.

MP3 Post: FUTURECOP again

Futurecop! makes enjoyable songs. I will listen to his songs for the next several decades, and it will always make me think of the year 2007.

Here is a picture of Futurecop wearing a purple American Apparel hoodie. Unlike your friend/acquaintance/enemy who wears the same hoodie, he actually does something with his time, as opposed to just 'being the dude who wears the purple AA hoodie.' Futurecop makes enjoyable music.

Futurecop will be on tour in Australia soon.

ANORAAK: Too good not to blog about

I've been trying to get some MP3s from ANORAAK for a while. Hopefully he is saving his stuff for an album, because it will definitely be worth buying.

Anyways, his music blows me away. It's incredibly textured and perfectly structured. He's another product of Valerie. I think by March of 2008, Valerie will definitely be in an all out war with I HEART COMIX in a US vs. France war for the title of 'most influencial music collective/label/blog' in the blogosphere.

THE MINITEL ROSE

Minitel Rose is Raphael, Quentin, and Romain. They met on the western beaches of France while chasing girls. Born in the mid-1980s, they want their music to reflect pop culture that influenced their lives'.

They are inspired by cultural phenomenon from Generation Y's childhood like the Ghostbusters, Heather Locklear's smile and the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Minitel Rose is a part of The West Coast ‘Valerie’ Crew. Valerie is a blog, and a collective composed of music artists in the west of France (The Outrunners, College, Anoraak, Minitel Rose, Maethelvin and more).
