I am pretty into WE HAVE BAND in the way that any authentic tastemaker should be. I think they mix a bunch of aesthetics that are worthy of my authenticcoolhunting attention. Wonder where they will be after a few 'interesting' music videos + effective utilization of the remix economy (import & export).
The song 'You Came Out' appeals to me because:
it is a mix of automatic + 'organic' instruments
perceived as kind of lofi/authentic recording process
the girls sounds keut/interesting/dancey
whistling makes me remember 'the first time I heard YOUNG FOLKS' mixed with 'the first time I heard HOMECOMING'
Sounds like it has the opportunity to be a Song of the Blog Year, which u and ur group of friends will remember kind of like 'the time _____ had that party, and at the time u were listening to a lot of LETSMAKELOVE/SADSADCITY/YOUNGFOLKS/D.A.N.C.E./TEENSRMXes/etc.'
I'm just searching for songs to define the eras of my meaningful life, yall. This one might be representative of my transition phase between bloghouse to authentic disco.
