Chairlift is a Brooklyn-based electro group. You may know them as the people who had that one song ("Bruises") in that random Apple (iPod) commercial in 2k10.
Chairlift was started by Aaron Pfenning & Caroline Polachek while they were students at the University of Colorado in 2005. Supposedly they started the band to make background music for haunted houses but it cannot be confirmed whether this is just a gimmick to differentiate their narrative. They added a bassist named Kyle McCabe in 2005 and some bro named Patrick Wimberly in 2007. Apparently Aaron Pfenning has now left Chairlift to start a band called Rewards.
